Food is decent. Service is adequate. Atmosphere is fun. My Lord in Heaven, don't comment to the staff about pricing or portion size!!! The new owner is a pretentious snob more interested in lecturing and insulting his customers than demonstrating customer service skills. Seriously, this restaurant is attached to Gander Mountain... The Walmart of outdoor gear! You run a glorified Subway! I will NOT be returning. All this for the sake of a bowl of rice. Wow.

Food was very good, hot food hot, cold food cold. Price and portion for glass of wine was way too much, really surprised a small glass at a high price. Draft beer was right on. Appetizers were outstanding. However, fish was over cooked. Dick Reinke PBGMYS

Food is average. Service is always poor. Takes forever for someone to come to the table and they are always out of food on the actual menu.

We have been to this restaurant a couple of times in the past week and have enjoyed it thoroughly. The management, food, service, and music, was top notch. When we went on a Friday night last week, Marcus was playing music that sounded like Caribbean/Island music, and he was absolutely outstanding. The music was not the only thing that was to rave about, but it was a nice quiet atmosphere where you could hear your family conversation across the table without a lot of loud noise around you, and it was absolutely enjoyable. The restaurant couldn't be decorated any nicer. There are beautiful trophy-sized fish all around you as well as taxidermy animals just like those in Gander Mountain's store which is attached to the restaurant. The food was awesome. Good sized meals with great sides and appetizers were great too. I had the Kangaroo that was tender, not gamey, and was served "medium" with a delicious glaze to dip each bite in. It was the best item on the menu so far. It was served on a bed of sweet potato and had french fried onions (really crispy and fresh) served on top of the kangaroo. Others had the bison burger, which was excellent, and the various salads others in our family had with blackened dolphin (mahi), and the fries were excellent. Other family members had the reuben sandwich was equal to that of Too Jay's, and the brie sandwich which was passed around the table because everyone that tried it said it was wonderful. Overall we had great service and we will be back when Marcus plays!!! Good find.....

Went for lunch. Service was great. Manager came outside to ask if I wanted something to drink when I was waiting for my party. Food came out quickly. I will definitely go back. Buffalo burger was awesome.

Food is good, service has always been excellent. You'll find an interesting mix of non traditional meats here including; Bison burgers, elk, phesant, gator etc. Yes, they have regular food too... Atmosphere is plesant enough, live music on Friday nights.

With only two other party's in the restaurant and with them being no more than three people, you would think food would come quickly. Well it didn't! Waiting for almost an hour! The service was ok and the food was average. The price for food was expensive!$15 for a Cobb salad and $15 for 6 gator fritters. The only good thing that I saw was the atmosphere.

Stopped in the mountain for some quick shopping. It was just past lunch and the wife liked the looks of the place, really....? Hmmm, we checked out the menu, it's different, real gamey. No real game on the menu, cool. We didn't go exotic, chicken sammich and the quesadilla. I pounded down the chicken, nice onions, nice melted cheese. Very good. I also cleaned up the quesadilla. Pretty good. They have a large wine display and local brews on tap. It was good. And Wednesday is hump day, literally. HUMP DAAYYY!

Services is okay. The pizza is good. Took an hour and a half to get a cheese burger. The waitstaff informed me that my cheese burger was "ran to another table" (at least the waitstaff came out to apologize). The manager (Fred) is very RUDE. When he isn't undermining the staff, he is sitting at the bar watching the tv. Poor management!

I tried this restaurant one LAST time. Food service and management was horrible. Manager Fred Eslameh shouldn't even be a dish washer. Enough said!

Friday night's birthday party was an evening our family will never forget. Our server, Janet, somehow was left to cater our entire crew of 30 people without ANY help... You know what, she was amazing! The food was maybe a little above average, but her sincere enthusiasm made this family gathering one we'll talk about for years to come! Thank you Janet.

I'm the President of Sunset Speakers Toastmasters, the club was celebrating our 17th anniversary and induction of our officers on 7/11. We reserved the banquet room on 6/19th and It was to be a buffet style for the guest to serve themselves. The manager who we reserved this with (Fred Esslameh) knew the event was to begin at 7pm and we would need the projector for our presentation. When we arrived the food had been out since 5:30p and the projector in the room was not working (due to previous party breaking it) but we were never told this by Fred even after we called a week before to confirm. The food was dry because it sat for an hour& 1/2, we only saw a server once ( which a 20% gratuity was included with our price) and because it was buffet I did not quite understand why we had to pay gratutity since no service was given. This is our 3rd year using this facility and it will be our last, the restaurant management has changed hands 3 times in the 3 years we've used it and it is not an improvement. My husband and I have eaten here on many occasion and have never had such an awful experience. The price quoted for the room was more when it came time to pay. The manager was not willing to make any amendments to the prices "stating its a corporate thing" well corporate or not, this was a poor expression of this restaurant and we will be taking our business somewhere else.

The food was bad and so was the service. Even though we sat at the bar, can you image being at a table?

Tall Tales is located inside the "outdoor lifestyle products and services" store Gander Mountain. I'd heard great things about it, but never been until today. I was invited to a networking lunch that holds its meetings in the separate back room. Cool; I didn't even know they had a separate meeting room like this. It holds at least 25-30 people. To make ordering easier, there was a pre-determined menu of 5 or 6 choices for this group, all of which included some kind of meat. That was an issue for me, the non-meat-eater. One of the organizers found owner Randy to see if we could make an adjustment. Sure, no problem and he took care of my "special needs" right way. LOVE that kind of customer service. I thought their delivery of food to everyone was a little haphazard and disruptive to the presentations people were giving at the meeting, so that's why I'm only giving them 3 stars. And while I completely appreciate Randy's accommodation of my needs, I thought my fish sandwich was a little bland. That said, I would go back again to see how much better the food could be if not being served to a large group. Like I said, great customer service focus!

It has been a while since I have been her but decided today that me and my wife would make a return visit; that will be the last. Apps came out, my wife had the calamari and I had the gator bites. The calamari was cold and the gator bites little balls of grease. The main coarse came next my wife ordered the beef and Swiss which came to the table as French dip but ok, close; until she took a bite and found out the beef was hot and the peppers cold. I ordered the oyster po-boy what a mess. Managed to figure a way to hold this thing as it fell apart in my hands and wasn't too bad till I got half through and found a long red hair...... Never again maybe the remodel should have been remodeling the food because the last time we were there before today was the before the remodel and it was pretty good back then I don't know what happened....

This was our first time there and we used a gift certificate that had a $50 value that I bought for $35. Our fist clue this was going bad was when our waitress stated that we had to spend $35 before we could use the gift certificate and it can not be used for drinks! What is the purpose of paying $35 in the first place? This was NOT a coupon from the paper! We Started off with a salad asked for no dressing- came with dressing! Then had some seafood soup that was served luke warm. The waitress said sorry that it just came from the fridge and that she will nuke it! We ordered the king cut prime rib and asked for end cuts if there cooked medium. Was told that they are and they will be ready in a bit because they were still cooking!?! Well my plate came and it was cold and my wife's was cooked like charcoal. They said sorry and they will cook her a new one and heat mine up. If they came right off the grill why weren't they hot when they came to the table I asked?! The other waiter said they were cooked in the morning and they just heat it. Now mine came back very well done with no ague sauce and my wife's was a small plate of fat. We just paid our$35 bill and then applied the rest of the GIFT CERTIFICATE. I asked if the tip was included and was told that it was billed @18% because we used the certificate! I asked if we will get a certificate for the remaining $15 funds unused and was told that we could have ordered more food! This garbage cost me $75. The next time I go to gander and I'm hungry I'll go to the bait department and buy some frozen bunker. It's cheaper and it will taste the same. Never again........
